Chinese Year of the Dragonborn

Chinese New Year is this month! January 23rd, 2012!

Welcome Christmas!

All the little boy was going to ask Santa for was his father to come back from Iraq. Little did he know, his wish would come true and his father was right behind Santa.

Favorite Christmas commercial!

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

To do this you can either use command hooks to hang each ornament from or if you have a curtain rod you can use that. Materials: Ornaments, ribbon, command hooks/curtain rod. Tie the ornaments at equal lengths (I used the blinds to use as a rough estimate by lining up the 2 window’s blinds and tieing the ornaments at those blind lengths at the same time). I had the ornaments longest in the middle and shortest on the sides, but I also considered having the ornaments in the middle and sides be longer and the ones in the center of each window to be short. I put a larger ribbon in between the windows on the curtain rod to add some emphasis to the window.

Made these and my whole apartment smelled like cinnamon. I didn’t have a wire rack so I took the ornaments out of the oven about 15 minutes early and left them on the pan to cool/harden more. Also, I didn’t have a rolling pin so I used a metal water bottle, worked just fine.
